What’s the weather like?
Wailea boasts some of the best golf weather in the world. Average temperatures for the island of Maui range from 75 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, but it’s not unusual for temperatures to dip into the 60s or rise into the low 90s, depending upon the time of year. As a general rule, the Wailea area tends to be drier than the rest of the island, with an average annual rainfall of approximately 11 inches, lots of sun and generally mild winds. Please be sure to bring adequate sunscreen!
Which is your “ocean” course?
Nearly all 54 holes at Wailea’s three courses offer beautiful views of the ocean. This is because Wailea’s courses are located as high as 300 feet above sea level, a magnificent elevation from which to enjoy Maui’s gorgeous ocean vistas.
Rental Club Policy
In an effort to ensure proper pace of play and the enjoyment of all golfers on the course….All golfers playing the course are required to have their own set of clubs. Each set must have a minimum of 8 clubs (with the exception of junior sets) to be considered a set. Sharing of club rentals is not allowed. Those traveling to Maui with multiple sets in one bag will be provided with an empty bag by Wailea staff at no charge.
Pace of Play
Pace of play per the USGA and our GPS system is 4 hours and 20 minutes. While we understand that some golfers take longer to play, if groups fall 10 or more minutes behind and are slowing down play behind them, they may be asked to allow faster playing groups to play through, or to skip holes to make up for the delayed pace.
Resident Rate Policy
Valid identification which indicates proof of residency is required to receive the resident rate. All golfers receiving the resident rate must present their valid Hawaii State Drivers License or Hawaii State ID in person at time of check in. Golfers without valid identification will be required to pay applicable green fees at check-in, regardless of the resident rate quoted. The Limited Purpose Driver's License is not accepted as a valid form of identification. Please contact the golf shop for current rates, policies, and if you have any questions.
