IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE - Updated June 23, 2021
Our Gold, Emerald and Blue courses, as well as our driving range and Wailea Golf Academy are open 7 days a week. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
For the health and well-being of all persons at our courses, we have implemented a number of operational procedures in compliance with County and State requirements. Effective June 21, 2021, we are officially operating under Phase 4 re-opening guidelines, allowing us to resume more of our pre-pandemic services and practices. Here's some important information you should know :
Both of our Pro Shops are open to the public, golfers and non-golfers alike. The Gold and Emerald pro shop is open 6:15 am to 6:30 pm 7 days a week. Our Blue course Pro Shop is open from 6:15 am to 6:30 pm 7 days a week.
Face coverings are required for all guests and staff inside all building structures, including Pro Shops, Lobby, Locker Rooms, Restrooms, Wailea Golf Academy Building. Please be sure to bring one with you. Effective May 25, 2021 per Hawaii State Department of Health and Governor David Ige, masks are not required when outdoors. Our staff will always have a face mask in their possession. If you are more comfortable wearing your face mask and would like our staff member(s) to be wearing a mask when interacting with you, please politely ask them to do so. Your comfort and safety is a top priority!
Social distancing – at least 6 feet apart – should be followed at all times.
Range Carts are once again available for use to access the driving range located at the Gold and Emerald clubhouse. This means golfers with scheduled tee times will no longer be taking their course cart up to the driving range. Please use the designated range carts.
Golf Carts will be stocked with tees, scorecard, pencil, cart towel, and 1 bottle of water per player.
Shared Cart Policy - members of a single, shared tee time reservation are expected to share golf carts. Members of different reservations paired together in a tee time may request an individual cart.
Starter Procedures return to pre-pandemic protocol. Our Starter will come to your golf cart to sign you out and give you the cart key. The Starter Tent has been removed.
Short Term Bag Storage for Resort Guests - visitors may store their bags at our clubhouse(s) if they have another tee time scheduled within the next two days.
Flagsticks can be tended or removed by golfers. Foam plugs have been removed from the hole cups.
Ball Washers are being returned to the golf courses.
Sand Bottles are on every golf cart for golfers to fill their divots. Sand bottle stations, to exchange empty bottles for full bottles, are being returned to the golf courses.
Rakes are being returned to the golf courses, and will be phased back into use over the next week.
Personal Golf Bags - staff are allowed to handle your golf bags if you wish. We are able to take your bags from the Bag Drop to your cart, as well as use a transporter cart to bring you and your clubs back to your car after your round (staffing levels permitting). We are also able to clean your clubs for you post-round. If you do not want us to touch your equipment, please politely let our staff know.
Beverage cart services are available on all three courses. Self serve water refill stations will be phased back onto the courses over the coming weeks. Please remember to keep yourself hydrated. There is a filtered water refill station at the Gold and Emerald clubhouse located across from the locker rooms.
Restaurants: Gannon's Restaurant at the Gold and Emerald clubhouse is open Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Manoli's Restaurant at the Blue clubhouse is open, please contact them directly for hours of operation.
The Wailea Golf Academy, driving range and practice facilities will be available, with social distancing requirements in place. Driving range hours: 6:30 am to 5:30 pm every day except Tuesday. Tuesday range hours are 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. Range buckets may be purchased up to a half hour prior to closing.
Important Update: The State of Hawaii Pre-Travel Testing Program allows mainland and inter-island travelers the ability to bypass the 10-day quarantine program and move around the island during their stay on Maui. The information from the State and County governments on the pre-travel program is as follows. Please note, this is subject to change at any time, and individuals traveling to Maui should refer to official government sources for the most current and accurate information.
The Safe Travels Hawaii App will be used for Pre-Travel Screening and will work like this:
- Travelers will download the App prior to departure and upload their personal information, photograph, flight schedules and COVID-19 test results into it. This will generate a QR Code unique to the traveler.
- The QR Code will then be scanned by either the airline or State officials (or both) upon departure and arrival, and the traveler instructed on their ability to move around the island or their need to quarantine.
The Wailea Golf Club welcomes on out-of-state and inter-island visitors who are not required to quarantine or have completed their quarantine.
